I have been getting whimsical pr end of file error in my firefox for past couple of months.
The first time it happened was when I was using mullvad vpn. Toggling the vpn on and off used to solve the problem. Then I stopped using the service and removed mullvad but the problem stayed.
I tried several solutions available online but nothing worked. So I ended up removing the package and reinstalled it. And the problem went away.
Then today it came back. This time the solution from the last time didn't work. So I purged the config files too and it still didn't work. I even installed qutebrowser just to check if this problem was limited to firefox. But there too most sites produce this error (I should note that duckduckgo somehow works but most of the other sites don't in both firefox and qute).
Annoyed I tried removing and reinstalling the package several times and at one point it started working again. But as I started to configure my profile with my usual addons and else it started producing the error again. Meanwhile my other profile was able to access the same sites.
So I purged and reinstalled again and this time all my profiles started producing the errors once again. So I don't know what is happening.
I have tried all the solutions from this page. They don't seem to work.
